2025 Model Members

Previous Chamber office at 603 East Market Street.

Current Chamber office in the Model Mill at 602 Sevier Street.
The Model Member program began in January of 2020 as the Chamber’s Capital Campaign was well underway with the goal of raising enough funds and support to allow the Chamber office to relocate from the office that it had occupied for 100+ years to the newly remodeled Model Mill, a former General Mills cereal plant and historic Johnson City landmark.
Named after the Chamber’s intended new office building, the Model Member program allowed Chamber members to voluntarily double their annual dues in anticipation of the move and to assist the Chamber in providing programming and stability during the COVID-19 pandemic that arose in March of 2020. The outpouring of support from Chamber members was overwhelming! The Chamber benefited from dozens of members who made their voluntary Model Member contributions, quickly helping the Chamber reach it’s goal of moving into the Model Mill and navigating the pandemic while still providing resources and support to struggling businesses.
After the Chamber successfully relocated to the Model Mill and moved forward from the pandemic, Chamber members still wanted to support the organization by continuing to double their dues. Now, we continue the Model Member program as the extra monetary support goes back into our ability to provide business and community development programs and support. To date, members have graciously contributed over $270,000 to invest in the business community.
We sincerely appreciate each and every member who voluntarily participates in this program, and we welcome new members’ support!
